During my time as a professional golfer I have been willing to share my experiences with other aspiring golfers of all ages. I think that playing sport at high level combined with traveling around the world is valuable information to pass on. I was also diagnosed with kidney cancer in 2010 and I have found that passing on my experiences relating to this illness is very beneficial for friends and relatives who are going through similar situations. I have also started to get involved with some local schools as part of their mentoring scheme.
I have decided to use golf as vehicle to raise money for my chosen charities, Demelza Hospice care for Children and The James Whale Fund for Kidney cancer. I have always felt fortunate to be able to follow my dreams and passions and this has driven me to organise several ongoing charity golf days and other innovative money raising ideas, I see this as an important part of my role as a PGA professional.
I have had a lifelong interest in all types of music. My idea to start DJ-ing was as challenge to my comfort zone and a way of relaxing off the golf course. I decided to learn and apply myself to such a standard that I now DJ House music in bars and clubs in the southeast of England.
